Location and Environs

Old Broome Guesthouse is conveniently located close to a wide range of services, points of cultural interest and fascinating landscape features.

A short walk along Walcott Street is the heart of what used to be the European residential quarters in Broome’s pearling heyday; several of the grand old houses have been renovated and are still in use.

Within easy walking distance is Town Beach, a special place to swim on high tide and a favourite meeting place for people in the neighbourhood. An evening craft and food market is held in the foreshore park at the time of the full moon, from where visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of the moon rising over the mangroves and Roebuck Bay.

The Guesthouse is close to a number of restaurants, bars, art galleries, liquor and food outlets, as well as banks, the public library and the local museum.

The surrounding area is quiet and residential.
